Endoscopic procedures

Upper endoscopy / Gastroscopy
A gastroscopy visualises the oesophagus, stomach and duodenum. It is commonly used to diagnose such Gatro-oesophageal reflux disease and ulcers of the stomach. It can be performed in the rooms or in the hospital day care unit.

I specialise in Endomucosal resection (EMR) and Endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) procedures of the stomach and oesophagus.

Colonoscopy
It is often required where there is bleeding associated with passing stool , a change in bowel habits or any form of concern for patients of the age of 50 years. It can help diagnose cancer of the colon or rectum.  It is also used as a screening tool in many developed countries.
